A day in the life.

What. up.
Long time, no update! (seriously it's been 8 months.) That is really embarrassing. You know what else is embarrassing? It's the new year and I didn't make one single resolution. Not even ONE, people. Maybe it was the fact that I was sick with one cold after another for literally the whole month of January so I really didn't care at that point. Does not making new year resolutions make you a bad person? If so, that is what I will be working on. Ha!
Anyway, hi. To be honest I'm really procrastinating writing a paper for school. So I thought it would be a fun idea to update my bloggy blog. Let's get down to business.
June 2014: I started my internship at Primary Children's *if you don't remember, it was on their cancer unit*. It was awesome. My preceptor was awesome. (Hi Rai!) The kid's were awesome. Awesome is the key word here. It was definitely an experience I will never forget. I've got a bracelet a patient gave to me to prove it.
August 2014: I graduated from Nursing School. One of the most proud of myself moments I have had. Yet that didn't even compare to when I found out I passed the NCLEX. That's the state nursing test. Even after getting every. single. question. (there are over 250, ya.) and being positive I didn't pass. I did. And there are no words to describe that feeling.
September 2014: I started working as a Nurse at McKay Dee Hospital! I was offered a job on their Pediatric unit and I thought I would die from happiness. Kids are where it's at my friends. Also, I can't forget to mention I started the Bachelor's Program as well. Hence, why I am still in school. May can't come soon enough! Seriously. Oh and we traveled to NEW YORK CITY.
October 2014: Kyle and I dressed up as Dave and Wendy Thomas for Halloween. It was our first time ever dressing up as a couple. So I felt like it needed to be shared.
November 2014: We spontaneously went to Washington D.C. Our country is pretty awesome.
December 2014: Christmas, duh.

As of late...
So basically I work full time. 3 twelve hour shifts a week. And do the school gig. It keeps me pretty busy. And even though I complain about it, I really do like it. (work more than school though for sure) I love love love being a nurse. I love love love the people I work with. I just love it. And I think Kyle is just so happy that I actually make some money now. haha!! There have been many rewarding moments for me, and that is what makes it all worth it at the end of my day.

Random facts
I love Dr. Pepper. I wouldn't call myself an addict, but it is my drink of choice. I wear contacts. And today I FINALLY upgraded my 9th grade glasses *insert wide eyed emoji here* I love going on adventures, especially when it involves 10:30 pm Walmart trips to buy boxing gloves with Kyle. And of course we have to try them out, and an employee gets mad at us like we are twelve year olds fooling around unsupervised. Whoops. Then we decide to have a duel when we get home and I accidentally punch Kyle in the nose.... BUT one of my all time favorite things is laying on the couch with the fireplace on, lights out, snuggled up to my boy watching Cops. Yep, you read that right. Or MMA fighting. I can't remember the last time I cooked a real meal since school started back up. (I hope my mom and MIL aren't reading this, if you are forget that last part) And I love watching the Bachelor on monday nights with my neighborhood girlfriends. Shout out! Chris, please take a girl out on an ELABORATE date. I never thought of myself as an anxious person. Then when I started working, waking up at 3:45 AM is not my friend. I tend to turn into a monster once the clock strikes 9:30 the night before. Sorry babe. My favorite treats are little debbie cakes. Preferably fudge rounds: found at walmart. I could describe my life/day/moments in emoji's. I wish I could make those faces.

Well I better get back to my school work, or I'll be grounded (jk). I'm not going to say I'll be back soon, because I might not be.  I guess I could make that my New years resolution, but it's past new years, and that's the only time you can do that. Hahaha, I'm really kidding.
Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time friends,
xoxox
